Very awesome design. I like the contrast of the rigidness and dark lines of the fisher and the “pond” or the “watered down / water colored” effect of the city scape. Makes it seem like he really is fishing, and then one realizes that the “pond” is, in fact, a city. Perhaps that aspect can be emphasized with the greater use of that watercolor effect. Secondly, the fisher seems a little sad – perhaps he should be colored brightly or have a bright background, maybe he has a friend, or he’s showing some sort of effort at fishing. It’s a little passive. But I would definitely wear this shirt.

  2. The man should look a little happier. Other than that… Smashing job!

I think the spacing and design is done really well in this shirt! (I would totally wear it!) Stephen was mentioning how it would be cool if the city could look like water somehow so that it would add to the allusion that he is fishing.. so maybe greys and hues of blue?

Aren’t people supposed to be anonymous?

    And it’s spelled Steven.

    Yeah. I wanna go fishin’!

i know for the tv show Lost, their title shot was an island on water and in the water where you would see an upside down reflection of the island, you see sky scrapers and buildings of a city. i thought maybe we could do something like that, where the city is upside down (since it is a sinful world), and we can have ripples on top of it (somehow; i’m sure one of you brilliant designers can pull it off).
    just an idea

  6. Simply awesome.
First pick if I were to buy a t-shirt
(although more detail in general would make things even more awesome!)

Hmm… I tried to post the previous one anonymous but that one didn’t work. Guess I can’t use my email that is registered with wordpress to comment?

Love this. If the poll was up and one of the options was “would buy” I’d click it. Except I liked the original better when the buildings had an orange/red color scheme.

i REALLY like this shirt! and i agree with making the fisherman happier …because we’re supposed to be joyful fishers of men, not downcast haha. but i hear a new version is in the making!

I like the concept of this shirt, but its looks a little too cartoonish. I think it would be an awesome shirt if it had a realistic design feel to it.

Any chance this shirt will actually get produced? It’s my favorite one so far!

I actually like the cartoonish feel. The style kinda reminds me of the “Rhapsody in Blue” number in Fantasia 2000.
